Hey Everyone! Thanks for visiting MisAdventures of Me :)
About the Blog
I’ve been reading blogs for quite a few years before I got up the nerve to start one of my own. The name has been the same, but the format and layout have changed over the years to what you see now (and it will probably make some more changes over time too!). I wanted to make my mark of weird on my own little corner of the internet world, and this is the perfect place to do it!
Here you find all my adventures that I take on, ranging from trying to get healthy to cooking to crafting to race recaps & reviews, and follow along with my everyday crazy…mostly spent trying to get my sh!t together ;)
About the Author
My name is Stephanie and I am a 28 year-old married girl from rural Missouri, born and raised. I’ve held jobs in almost every field imaginable (both paid and volunteer work) and have finally settled down working with my parents at their company. A few years ago I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, and have since been in a constant struggle trying to rid myself of the 100+ pounds I have put on since going from an active, fit person to one who is sitting most of the day and dealing with the extra nonsense that comes with having Hashimoto’s. This blog helps document that and keep me accountable.
I’m married to the ever anonymous M, and we have our own little family that includes our two dogs, Cody & Kaycee, as well as my goldfish Fish, who I’ve had for over 7 years (yeah, I didn’t think they lived that long either!).
Health, Fitness, & Cooking
In 2011, I found and fell head over heels in love with yoga. As I learned more about practicing yoga, I realized that I needed to make a lot of changes in my life, and I couldn’t keep on living the way I had been. So 2013 has become a year of focusing on what I need to change in my life in order to live the life I want to lead.
I try to eat healthy, and post some of my eats on here. I also run and do yoga, both of which I will frequently talk about. I try to recap nearly every race I do, and if it is a new race for me I will post a review on it.
I love to cook and am working finding recipes that can be both healthy and delicious. If I love a recipe enough, or come up with a new one, I will post it on here for you!
Sometimes I can be a bit of a walking disaster area! My husband says I can “eff up an anvil with a paperclip”. I usually get the results I want, but not without a few funny mishaps along the way. I typically can’t go anywhere without getting lost-even with GPS, and I almost always spill something on me at some point in time.
So come and hang out, you might never know what’s going to happen next!
